Northwest Passage Eau Claire Day Treatment


General Services Offered Child and Adolescent Day Treatment services: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m., year-round.  Includes behavioral therapy, mental health counseling groups, individual therapy, medication management, family intervention and educational services.

Specialties and Target Groups  
We accept school-aged children and adolescents (ages 5-18).  They must have a mental health diagnosis and be experiencing significant difficulties in the school, home and community.

Delivery Styles/Methodology/Philosophical Background Information
Eau Claire Day Treatment offers mental health services to school aged children.  We understand that in order for therapy to be effective, the client’s behaviors need to be stable.  The two basic behavioral principles of Eau Claire Day Treatment consist of safety and respect.  The Eau Claire Day Treatment staff members prepare their clientele to transition back to their communities, local schools, and families with an increased sense of self, improved social and behavioral skills, and resources for dealing appropriately with difficult situations.  One of the goals of the Eau Claire Day Treatment program is to teach the clients within the program how to manage themselves appropriately so they can transition back into the public school settings and become productive members of society.

The mission of the Northwest System has been to restore dignity, emotional wholeness, and a renewed sense of self-worth into the lives of people who are experiencing social failure and emotional turmoil.  The objective of our programs is to provide a treatment community that reopens the possibility of enhance self-respect.

Eligibility
We currently contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN, Health Partners, Preferred One, United Behavioral Health, Wisconsin MA, Schools and Responsible Parties. 

Cost of Service
$80.00 per hour for mental health hours only.  Parties contracted with Northwest Counseling and Guidance Clinic will reimburse for the services based upon a contracted rate and/or your individual benefit coverage.  For this reason, a variety of rates may be  recouped for the service.
