Birth to 3 Training and Technical Assistance  The Birth to 3 Training and Technical Assistance site provides the latest state policies and sample forms as well as information on best practices in all areas of early intervention.
Bright Beginnings Brochure This handy, multicolored brochure to raising children from birth to nine years of age was developed by teacher, parents, librarians, and community advisors in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  It outlines developmental stages for the various age groups and suggests easy activities to get parents through meals, bath, and bedtimes. Cooperative Education Service Agency
(CESA)
The Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESA) are regionally based. CESA #10 is the fiscal agent for 24 school districts in Northwestern Wisconsin, serves as our area-wide resource for staff development and collaboration, and provides special education services to these districts.
Child Find The Child Find endeavor encourages coordination of identification efforts by agencies within a community and is called the Informed Referral Network.

The Western Regional Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN)  is dedicated to meeting family needs through a statewide coordinated system of information referral, follow-up, parent to parent support, and service coordination through local public health departments and community agencies.

Jumpstart Preschool

 

Jumpstart Preschool is an Americorps program that funds college students to spend weekly one-on-one on one time with preschoolers at local Head Start sites. The students help children improve communication, reading, and social skills.

Luther Midelfort's Kids HelpLine

Luther Midelfort's Kids HelpLine is a service and resource for health providers, social workers, parents and schools who are concerned about a child or adolescent's well being.  The HelpLine can suggest treatment options for children and adolescents who are struggling to deal with such challenging issues. The Kids HelpLine is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm by calling 715.838.5633 or check out the CMHA Kids HelpLine webpage for more information.

This website is a very exciting and useful resource for parents.  Although designed as a toolkit for parents, school personnel could make good use of this material.  The contents include  models for large-scale assessment for students with disabilities, technical assistance products,
instructional practices, behavior, and accommodations.
      

Path

 

Path is a creative planning tool used for children with disabilities and their families. Path starts in the future and works backward to an outcome of first (beginning) steps that are possible and productive. Path is very results oriented.
Social Security Administration

Social Security Administration benefits are payable to disabled children under age 18 who have limited income and resources, or who come from homes with limited income and resources. The benefits include eligibility for Wisconsin Medicaid card and a monthly cash payment. To qualify, children must meet social security's definition of disability and the household income and assets must fall within the household income eligibility limits.

Wisconsin Child Care Resource & Referral Network

 

The Wisconsin Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Network is an organization made up of the 17 community-based CCR&R agencies serving all of  Wisconsin. Their mission is to exercise leadership in the creation of an inclusive, high-quality child care/child development system and to promote the professional growth and development of its member agencies. 

The Network offers training and technical assistance to its member agencies, collaborates with other agencies related to child care at the state level, and works on other projects as funding allows, including a statewide consumer education campaign and a Hmong family child care project.

Child Care Partnership Resource & Referral Center Inc.  The mission of Child Care Partnership Resource & Referral is to make child care work by: *Connecting parents with the child care services they need, offering information and education for parental choice;

Wisconsin Early Childhood Collaborating Partners
WECCP

Wisconsin Early Childhood Collaborating Partners (WECCP) is designed as a resource and an online community for parents, administrators, and staff of Early Childhood Programs throughout Wisconsin. 

 The Collaborating Partners have come together to promote the blending of our state’s early childhood education and care systems.  The Eau Claire Health Communities Initiative is featured in the "Scrapbook" section of this website.

Wisconsin First Step Wisconsin First Step is a statewide Information and Referral (I&R) hotline that serves families with children who have special health care needs. 

The hotline is open 24/7 and is answered Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4 pm by Parent Specialists. The Parent Specialists have specialized disability knowledge and have a child with a special need.

Wisconsin Statewide Parent Educator Initiative
WSPEI
 The mission of Wisconsin Statewide Parent-Educator Initiative (WSPEI) is to help schools promote partnerships with families of children with disabilities. Developed by the Department of Public Instruction, WSPEI is a service for parents, educators, and others interested in parent-educator partnerships for children with disabilities. 
Zero To Three

The Infant Mental Health Resource Center provides information about the healthy social and emotional development of a child from birth to three years. In the context of the family, it provides a growing field of research and practice devoted:

  • to the promotion of healthy social and emotional development

  • to the prevention of mental health problems

  • to the treatment of the mental health problems of very young children
